Terms of Service — Thatch Blend Zone

1. Introduction and Scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Thatch Blend Zone website at thatchblendzone.com and any services you request from us, including the supply, installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of reverse osmosis systems, home water filters, water softeners and drinking water purification equipment. Thatch Blend Zone operates from Toyohashi-shi, Aichi Prefecture, Japan (telephone: +81 532-54-8163). By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services

Thatch Blend Zone provides water treatment solutions for residential properties. Our services include: initial site assessment and water quality testing; supply of RO membranes, filter housings, softener tanks and associated components; professional installation by licensed technicians; system commissioning and handover; and scheduled maintenance including filter cartridge replacement, membrane inspection and system sanitisation.

Service availability is subject to geographic coverage. We primarily serve Toyohashi-shi and the wider Aichi Prefecture area. Coverage in adjacent prefectures is available on request — please contact us to confirm availability at your address before requesting a quotation.

3. Quotations and Orders

All quotations provided by Thatch Blend Zone are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise in writing. Quotations are estimates based on the information available at the time; final pricing may be adjusted following an on-site assessment if the actual installation conditions differ materially from those described. We will notify you of any price adjustment before proceeding with work.

An order is accepted and a contract formed when we send you a written confirmation of your booking. We reserve the right to decline an order at our discretion, for example if the property is outside our service area or if the installation conditions present safety concerns we are not equipped to address.

4. Installation and Access

You agree to provide our licensed technicians with safe and timely access to your property on the agreed installation date. If access cannot be provided and we are not notified at least 48 hours in advance, a rescheduling fee may apply. Our technicians will carry out work in accordance with Japanese plumbing regulations and manufacturer guidelines. You are responsible for ensuring that the property's existing plumbing, electrical supply and cabinetry are in a condition that allows for safe installation.

5. Maintenance Plans

Ongoing maintenance plans are offered on an annual or biannual schedule, depending on system type and household water usage. Plan terms are set out in a separate maintenance agreement issued at the time of installation. Maintenance visits include cartridge replacement, pressure checks, sanitisation and a written service report. Failure to maintain a system according to the recommended schedule may affect product warranty validity.

6. Payment Terms

Payment for installation services is due in full within 14 days of the invoice date unless a payment schedule has been agreed in writing. For ongoing maintenance plans, payment is due at the start of each plan period. We accept bank transfer and major credit cards. Overdue payments may accrue interest in accordance with applicable Japanese law. We reserve the right to suspend maintenance services if payment remains outstanding for more than 30 days past the due date.

7. Warranties and Guarantees

Thatch Blend Zone provides a 12-month workmanship warranty on all installation work. Manufacturer warranties on components such as RO membranes, filter housings and softener tanks vary by product and will be specified in your quotation and confirmation. Warranties are void if the system has been tampered with by persons other than Thatch Blend Zone technicians, or if consumables have not been replaced on the recommended schedule.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Thatch Blend Zone website — including text, images, diagrams, product descriptions, system configuration guides and the site design — is owned by or licensed to Thatch Blend Zone and is protected by Japanese copyright law. You may view, print and download content for your own personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish or transmit any content without our prior written consent. The Thatch Blend Zone name, logo and any associated marks are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Japanese law, Thatch Blend Zone's liability for any claim arising from the supply of goods or services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific goods or services that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss — including loss of use of water supply, damage to stored goods, or loss arising from delay — unless caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or misrepresentation.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services shall first be referred to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days of written notice, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan — specifically, the court with jurisdiction over Toyohashi-shi, Aichi Prefecture, unless another court has mandatory jurisdiction under Japanese law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page. Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes that affect existing service agreements, we will provide direct notice where reasonably practicable.
